Need some build advice

Thread Starter
Im putting a rig together for my little girl for Christmas, she is becoming as addicted as i am to gaming. I'm honestly thinking of sticking with sandy bridge 1155, either a 2500k or a 2600k. Im not to happy with the new CPUs because of them no being soldered and i might (will) over clock it.

What do you guys think? Stick with the 1155, it it still doing great for me.

What type of power supplies are doing well these days? Im still using my Corsair and love it. Any reason to switch?

Appreciate any help!

For PSU´s it depends on what you want to spend and what you need to power

Also Corsair is overpriced for the most part

You can get just as good for less money if you look around a little

Not i am saying Corsair is bad or sucks before anyone attack me for that

And there is not really a whole lot of reason to upgrade your 2500K Ivy and Haswell are not that much faster

Depends on what you can spend where you are from adn what you want

Brand has nothing to do with anything really as almost all of them dont make what they sell in the first place

OEM´s like Super Flower FSP and HighPower make their own units that they sell

Those are very underrated as many have never heard of them before
