It seems as if Intel has hit a "wall" in terms of performance. The next generation of chips seems to offer very little, if any, speed increases. Are we at the point where we can't squeeze much more power out of current technology? I am not sure if this might be an option in the near future, but if Intel gets power consumption down, could we see systems with multiple CPU's becoming the norm for performance users?
