Yeah that's exactly what I was referring to when I meant punkbuster update. I just didn't mention the whole "add game" and update process, but that link pretty much sums it up.
If you haven't tried it that way, do that & see if it works. I remember my solution involved the same process & they said I would get an error when it updates, which I did but the game ran fine & didn't get stuck after the loading screen. Great link Ski-Bum.

Don't apologize, I'll take all the help I can get! I'm very thankful for you guys helping me work this out.

Here is some new info which may help diagnose my problem.

1. I figured out that I had bf4 downloaded twice, once on each hard drive. I deleted EVERYTHING relating to bf4 on both drives since then and re-downloaded it.

2. I have since take ski-bum's advice and tried re-downloading punkbuster on this newly downloaded bf4. THIS TIME IT UPDATED PUNKBUSTER! But still no luck. It still gets stuck loading.

One thing that's different than before is when I launch campaign it lets me watch the beginning cut scene of a mission until it's over, then it stays there with the loading icon again.

Have you tried to go into the bios and disable hyperthreading? I read it's a possible fix. If you haven't, give it a try I guess?

Got something else for you to try. Go here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\directx\redist
Then find DXSETUP.exe
Let it install properly, reboot computer and try to start game. Hopefully this will do it!

EDIT: If that doesn't work, try to play with 32 and 64bit again.

This game should run, at least.
Are you using the same SSD that you used in your old system? If so, did you do a "secure erase" of the SSD before you loaded in a fresh install of Windows?
If not you could be still loading in the old setup. I'm reaching here.
If it was me. I'd start from scratch. Wipe out everything and fresh install everything.
Use Sean's Windows 7 Install & Optimization Guide for SSDs & HDDs to help with the install. Make sure you do a "secure erase" of the SSD.

Maybe before you do all that. Try re-downloading BF4 and re-installing it. Just a long shot.

Well guys it seems to be working just fine now. I installed Windows Service Pack 1 and that did it. Not sure what was included in that to make it work though?

Thank you guys so much for all of your help. I really appreciate each of you taking time to assist me with this problem!!! smile.gif
