Going SFX...need some advice

Hey guys,

As I wait for my Ncase M1 to be delivered, I'm looking for new parts. Mainly a new PSU to go in there since a standard ATX PSU won't fit. The highest wattage I can find is 450W for SFX PSU. Will that be enough to power these specs:

i7 4770K
HD 7950
8gb DDR3
Asus Maximus IV Impact
1 SSD
2 HDD

Is 450 Watts enough to safely power this system?

If you dont overclock anything then yes

SilverStone has some pretty small PSUĀ“s is there not even room for one of those in there?

I didn't plan on overclocking. I was going to get this SilverStone PSU:

This is the case:

With the size of my video card I would have to stay at or under a 140mm non-modular ATX PSU for clearance. That's why I wanted to go with SFX....that and I also was thinking about mounting a Corsair H100 in the side panel bracket. The case is TINY. Which is why I supported the Indiegogo campaign to have it produced. As much power in the smallest package I could create (within my budget tongue.gif ).

You can overclock the i7-4770k, but I wouldn't up Powertune on the GPU unless you're not consistently stressing the computer beyond gaming loads.

You know the build that was tested in the M1 was a 3770k and overclocked 7970 on the ST45SF-G, right? The links to the test builds are right in the first post on the hardforum thread. There's at least one person running a R9 290x in the case on the same PSU, as well. So you'll be fine with the 7950 on it.
