Good Programming Books?

I'm, interested in learning C++, but, i need some recommendations for some books i should by im interested in learning C++, but would rather learn by doing then reading 100 pages of information before i even get to the first exercise like the current books i have, please suggest some. thanks

Jumping into c++ seems fairly decent.

There are a lot of tutorials on the internet. I could recommend a website I know of but it's in French unfortunately.

Maybe this will help.

I used Sam's to begin with C#. It gives a few concepts, then expects you to do some programming exercises each day for three weeks. I don't know how in depth it will go, but there are other books like the link below that will provide even more stuff after you have learned the basics.
