Is Nvidia holding back the GTX 770 Ti?

I'm honestly baffled on how the 780 is still 499 when the 290 in most cases beats it across the board. Does Nvidia have the 1920 770 TI in the works to battle the 290? Is Nvidia waiting on the custom cooled 290's to release it? What do you think Alatar? biggrin.gif

Either that or they will lower the price of the GTX 780 then. I was wondering this myself, I mean, I'm just so tempted to buy a Radeon R9 280X as the GTX 770 seems like a dated card to be buying right now, but the R9 290 is priced very convincingly, except for the reference cooler, which is holding me back. If Nvidia were to release a GTX 770 Ti with the specs you mentioned, it would probably be the card I'd buy.
