Terrible Battlefield 4 Performance (GTX 680)

Thread Starter
I have been getting terrible FPS in Battlefield 4 ever since the game launched. At first I just threw the problem under "unoptimized drivers", but after booting up the game today (over a month after launch) and still seeing the same terrible FPS, I am confused. I come here for help.
To start here are my specs:
Intel i7-960 Bloomfield 3.2GHz
Geforce GTX 680 4GB
6GB of RAM

The Problem: When playing Battlefield 4, no matter what video settings I use (tried medium-ultra, Vsync off), I get terrible fluctuation in FPS. The FPS frequently drops to 30 and averages at around 40-50. It does hit 70-80 in quiet areas, but can still randomly drop for no reason. I did some monitoring and no matter what, my GPU usage never goes above 60 percent, in fact it drops to as low as 20 (averaging at 45). My CPU usage floats around 60 percent and the RAM usage stays at a constant 5GB.

All drivers are updated to the latest official releases.
For what its worth, Battlefield 3 runs perfectly fine.
I have not tampered with any Nvidia settings.

Help me.
Thank you smile.gif
