What are these cables for? (possibly fan controller im not sure) with pics

Because my MSI G45 was DOA I had to buy a new one and didn't go for MSI this time. I got the Asus Z87-PRO which came with this cable.

The front

And the back

Also I got this cable which is attached to the front panel of the case (where the power button etc is)

Now I also got a fan controller (which is also at the front panel I have a Corsair 500R). Do I have to use the cable I first described to connect the cable that's coming out of the front panel WITH a CPU Fan connector on the motherboard or is that wrong? If that's true does it matter which number CPU Fan connector?

Or do I need to connect the cable that is coming out front panel with a PSU cable? Im confused

Looks like a Floppy drive power cord to me..

I would assume the cable coming out of the front panel is for your front panel fan or fan controller.

So I shouldnt do this?

Left cable could go to the MB. Mid cable goes to the front panel and right cable goes to the PSU. The 3 fans from the case aren't connected to the MB maybe the left cable does that? Im kinda confused
