Speeds are good, and I always get games at good prices elsewhere and just activate on their client.
Uplay? Didn't work as it was supposed to, crashed a lot before, refused to give me my content I had legally bought, servers down, terrible speeds etc etc etc... Others where having a lot of other issues. The service was utter garbage until they fixed a year ago or whatever it was.
Origin? Only thing that was good in the start was download speeds. The client crashed on me so many times I almost asked for a refund with BF3. Chat service did not work as it should even 1year after release!!!! It was a utter pain when playing BF3 with my friends, and the chat service worked 1/4 times even a year after... Seems to be a little better now, but the Orgin ingame does not work ingame BF4 in either 32 or 64bit version of the game AT ALL.
I can go on and on about them both, but I'll save it.
On topic: Ubisoft and optimization? Laughable. Assassin's Creed series is horribly optimized on PC and looks like console. Far Cry 3 is the only decent so far.
