Being capped at 60 fps gives me terrible tearing. And I don't use vsync because the input lag annoys me. Even with vsync from nv control panel, it stutters when the game drops to 59 fps frequently. Adaptive vsync didn't do much to help.
playing on a single screen should be pretty damn easy to max. My only problem with not-max "vegetation" is that it includes buildings, which in my experience (while in surround) I can see the transition quite obviously between low res & high res. I can also see this grid type rendering going on, which may be due to the bottleneck introduced while in surround.
