Possible SLI / GPU issue...not sure

Hey everyone (long time lurker, first time poster)

So, today i ran out to Micro Center and picked up a second PNY reference GTX 780. Popped it in my system and immediately noticed that the "GEFORCE GTX" did not light up. I thought that was a bit odd, however my computer recognized the second card and i enabled SLI via the nvidia control panel. Things seem to be working the best i can tell but the lettering is still not illuminated. I swapped the PCI slots, checked the umbilical and power connections and everything seems to be functioning as it should.

My concern is, should i call up micro center and try and do an exchange for another card / call PNY on Monday or should i let it slide? I'm not particular about the asthetics, it just concerns me as i am unsure if its indicative of another issue.

Thanks in advance.

that is weird, what about the LED controller in the latest nvidia drives with geforce experience, surely trying to change the effect might let you know if it's totally not working or not.

Thanks for the quick reply MTB, didnt even know that feature was there in nvidia experience. It currently says its on but only one of my cards is displaying the colored LED. Very weird....starting to grow concerned it may be faulty mellowsmiley.gif

Anyone else have any suggestions, really trying to avoid going back down to micro center.
