need some input/upgrading

Thread Starter
Current: I-7 2600k, 16 GB ram, SLI 560TI, OCZ 1000W PSU, Custom water cooled setup.

I'm going to be upgrading my motherboard and keeping my I-7 2600K, ram and PSU. I want to play BF4 on Ultra @ 1920x1080. I know I don't really need SLI for this but I want it to run my second monitor for TS, CPUID and for when doing Html and stuff. Also because I want SLI smile.gif

Question 1: I want to upgrade my video cards but I'm stuck between SLI 770's or 780's. What set up would be best?

Question 2: I like the 770's because after I get my water blocks added this set up will be about $250 cheaper and I will have 8gb of video ram. However the 780's are better from what I'm seeing. Would having the 780's be worth the loss in ram?

Question 3: I have done some research but am still unsure if I can keep my current 1000W PSU. Is 1000w enough for either setup?

Thanks for any help. Ill let you guys know what I go with and will update with some pics when complete

You seriously can't run BF4 well enough on two 560tis? I would imagine enough that would be way more than enough@1080p. For what it's worth, the 760/670 are fairly cheap and a very nice upgrade without breaking the bank.

Question 1: I want to upgrade my video cards but I'm stuck between SLI 770's or 780's. What set up would be best?
Solely depends on what you're willing to spend. The 780's would give you better performance. But Sli'd 770's would be ample for your setup.

Question 2: I like the 770's because after I get my water blocks added this set up will be about $250 cheaper and I will have 8gb of video ram. However the 780's are better from what I'm seeing. Would having the 780's be worth the loss in ram?
It wouldn't double your RAM, you'd be limited to 4GB.

Question 3: I have done some research but am still unsure if I can keep my current 1000W PSU. Is 1000w enough for either setup?
Plenty.
