The Corsair 750TX i have that i know works laying around, doesn't power up the system at all either, so PSU and motherboard is 100% dead probably more.

I have a 1000VA UPS from PowerCon in my apartment i use, but i was at my parents house where i got the case shipped to, and i didn't bring it with since i just wanted to get the stuff moved into the new case turn it on to make sure it worked, and come back home.

It seems odd to me that you could have so many component failures from a suspected surge and not have many other things in the house being blown as well. Static charge is a possibility...did you properly ground yourself while building the system?

Yes i have one of those fancy wrist strap things, and i don't think i would be able to static charge the monitor too that has worked perfectly fine for 3 years.

Well not looking good, Brought it to the PC shop to have them confirm what i thought was dead, they used a brand new psu and my board still didn't start up, we ran out of time today but im going back tomorrow to test GPU and hard drives. No way of testing if my CPU or memory is bad since they don't really deal much in high end stuff, or intel so he doesn't have boards laying around for it.

The new PSU i ordered today will be here tomorrow EVGA 1300 G2 but im scared to plug it in to my stuff now since i don't know whats dead or if it will kill my new psu.

Do your folks happen to live in a 50-60+ year old house? It's unlikely, but if they are the power grid could be quite antiquated.
