No, you'll feel it but breaking a bone requires north of 30g.

The price is actually pretty good. Was hoping it would be a bit cheaper as it really couldn't be THAT expensive to produce.

I agree it's a lot of money but if you put it into perspective and really want to experience more when racing without actually getting a race car, this isn't thát much money.

No I get that entirely, I'm a sucker for high end simulation gear. I've got a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS with Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals, and a Thrustmaster T500 RS with stick shifter on order. But for that much money you can build yourself a nice full motion rig...
