I just did mine...what is this MAX CLOCK?
Maybe that's what Valley is picking up?

Oh wow - I think it is my KEPLER BOOST.
Valley picks up the KEPLER BOOST thus your MAX CLOCK.
This is something that shouldn't be adjusted, NOR that GPUZ would show.

Here's my calculations:
1309 (as shown in my valley bench picture) is exactly 195mhz off my OC of 1114mhz GPU CLOCK
Thus meaning it has 15x kepler boost (as kepler boosts in 13mhz) - that's insane.

AT STOCK:
I have a default clock of 1059mhz and a MAX CLOCK (according to that upload site) of 1254, meaning AGAIN a boost of 195mhz - which again is 15x kepler boost.

So in fact:
I AM RUNNING at 1309mhz WITH kepler boost and 1119mhz as my default core clock.
I can't believe people don't say this on the internet. SUPER MISLEADING.
I remember reading somewhere where a guy was stating: My GTX680 easily achieves from stock 1210mhz, not even OC'ed - I think what he was mentioning here was the KEPLER BOOST, not his actual OC.

I'm really happy to have uncovered that one on my own - with the help of the master guide of course (stating the 13mhz differences)

So I have:
Core clock: 1114mhz
Memory: 1802mhz
GPU Boost: 1179mhz
Kepler boost: 1309mhz

That's a decent OC if you ask me!

lol, no dubbed.

my wf3 says max core 1267 in that bios editor and in heaven(this is stock)

gpu-z shows - base clock 980 boost 1059(real is 1058 shown in graph) max clock is 1110 as shown on graph
this max clock of 1110mhz is the keplar boost of 51, also divisible by 13

every wf3 with the same bios as mine will say max core clock 1267mhz

that's EXACTLY my point.
The MAX clock is your kepler clock boost.
Whereas the GPU boost is something else.

Hit up valley see what your reading is - it SHOULD BE 1110mhz (which isn't displayed on gpu -> as you will be able to see.

The same applies to me: the 1309 isn't displayed on gpuz, but IS SHOWN in valley AND in that program via my MAX clock.

My KEPLER BOOST is 195mhz.
Divisible by 3 - that's 15x 13 = 195

No. Go reread the first page of the over clock guide.
Heaven shows my max clock as 1267mhz as I said before.
My first boost is from 980 to 1059 then keplar boosts to 1110.
As I said earlier, every card with the same bios will read the same max core clock in that editor. Also everyone will tell you heaven reads the clocks wrong.
Every card clocks and boosts different. Every card has a different max core clock that it can reach. Every bios version has the exact same max core speed listed in that bios editor.

Not going to argue about it. Have a good day.

I see what you're saying but here's what I'm reading:
At stock (as shown from the bios website you sent me):
1058 core clock
Boost 1124
Max 1254

So I raised the oc by +55 as you know and that has lead me to:
1114 core clock
1179 boost

And the Kepler is unknown, but via valley it seems obvious that it's 1309mhz
Even via basic maths: 1254 + 55 = 1309 that's the new max clock.
I tell you what when I get home I'll go to stock and run valley to see what the reading is, if it's 1254, I think it's pretty obvious what's going on.

I'm also not arguing just very much intrigued by all of this. I learnt quite a lot and want to understand it fully so that if someone asked me I would be able to easily explain smile.gif

My GPU becomes unstable if it reads >1293mhz in heaven or in any other monitoring program though, only difference is for stuff like 3dmark or games, i can use a large offset for it to read 1293. I never really got to the bottom of it aside from knowing my card, a friend of a friends card, and this dude who posted on OCN once - all on windforce 770's who could set large core overclocks for everything aside from unigine heaven, where they were borderline unstable on stock

Right I got home - and I'm absolutely correct with my "theory" assumption.
My Kepler boost is 195mhz on my core

STOCK:
Core: 1059
Boost: 1124
Kepler boost: 1254
Mem clock: 1502 - effective: 3004

OC profile:
Core: 1114
Boost: 1179
Kepler boost: 1309
Mem clock: 1802 - effective: 3604

of course its reading that. it adds your offsets to the max clock in your bios as i stated before.
since you know the cards only clock up in 13mhz increments, subtract a non-13mhz number from your offset. that heaven core clock will read 1309 - (your number)
this is why i said i wasnt arguing it. i know what happens. i know you dont understand. i showed what happens in that screenshot above.
look at that screenshot. tell me how the hell my card could possibly be running at 1402mhz with a crashed driver? it cant.
my asus non top has a bios max clock of 1202. my gb wf3 has a bios max clock of 1267. if you were right my gb would score better 1392 than my asus does at 1392 in heaven4 readout. it doesnt because the asus is actually running 90+mhz faster
