troubleshooting, computer won't start

Thread Starter
So I have a problem right now. I just brought back my desktop from school (where it was working perfectly) yesterday and it was on its side in the car for about 3 hours. I left it in the car for a while when I got back so it got pretty cold. When i brought it back in the house and hooked it up, it wouldn't start. When I try to turn it on, the led's and fans turn on but it wont display anything on the screen. At first the computer would keep restarting (fans/leds would turn off and on) every 5-10 seconds or so. I reseated the ram and video card and made sure everything was connected well. Now the computer will do the same thing but restart after 30 seconds and then stay on.

I really have no idea what could have happened but I would assume something with the mobo, any suggestions?

I have an i5 4670k, MSI Z87-G41 mobo, MSI GTX 760, crucial 8 gb stick, antec 750W power supply, WD 750gb HDD, and a corsair H110 cooler.

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried moving the video card to a different slot?

Hi madswimmer,

How cold was it where you are? Could condensation have formed in the machine and caused a short somewhere? Check all your connectors and anything that plugs into the MoBo to see if it got loose.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried taking the PC apart and put it back together

If that does not work then something is broken

Or it could be the CPU cooler that has come lose
