Since you said any input is appreciated... I'd suggest looking at this guide. You'll find that there are much better headphones for gaming both more expensive and less expensive.

When it comes to Astro's you are mainly paying for the name brand versus the sound quality.

EDIT: If you are looking at these soley for gaming. Look for a pair of AD700. Best performance for dollar for gaming and since you have a big head, they'll be perfect for you.

You... like the look of AD700? You are the 1%. thumb.gif

I'm personally going with the AKG Q701 and an objective o2 with a turtle beach eaforce dss as a Dolby Headphone processor. The AD700 are great but have been been discontinued and are harder to find. Not to mention are pretty much bassless so they aren't the most most fantastic thing for other purposes. The Q701 is the alternative for me because they'll do great with most of my music (minus the bass heavy music I listen to) but still have an incredible soundstage and detail which is a must for gaming.

Beyerdynamic DT-990 Pro is pretty comfy too.
And it's very good for gaming even though it has strong bass (AD700 has light bass).
