Intel Core i7-4770K vs AMD A10-6800K Gaming-Performance
for reference , at 1080p normalized to i7 4770k
Intel Core i7-4770K Stock 100.00 % --> Intel Core i7-4770K 4.5G 101.12 %
AMD A10-6800K Stock 90.58 % --> AMD A10-6800K 4.5G 90.62 %
That's normalized 1080p numbers on a bunch of GPU bound games, that are not using a high end GPU setup.
If you take the CPU bound numbers - skyrim for example - look at this:
Intel Core i7-4770K 4.5G 115.4fps
AMD A10-6800K 4.5G 65.8fps
^That's a >75% lead for haswell
Bf3, i dunno how they tested this, but 4770k + oc is hitting fps cap, and there's almost no difference between CPU's on the high quality - so heavily GPU bound - if we look at the cpu bound situation, it's this:
1280 x 1024, low details fps Index
Intel Core i7-4770K Stock 186.6fps
AMD A10-6800K 4.5G 109.6fps
Your enthusiasm is great, but averages of a bunch of GPU bound games say nothing for CPU performance, just as we don't measure FPS differences between Piledriver and Haswell on Unigine Heaven**** even though it makes some difference.
*Looking at the review... They just did exactly what i said would be ridiculous. Ouch.Edited by Cyro999 - 11/24/13 at 9:18pm
