were you running this automatic overclock when you posted about the high temps???

I've tested the auto overclock feature once but is was real bad. It used about ~1.4v for 4.5 or 4.6Ghz thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
And it adjusted the block speed to ~103Mhz rolleyes.gif

I thought it was that, but it was actually Turbo Boost doing it, turned it off now and I am going to test it out today to see temps.

Also, not sure if this is a good or bad result with the fan, but it got to 65-68C running prime95 for about ten minutes.

Also: those temps are ok but at what freq is your CPU running during that test + the info asked by AlphaC is pretty helpfull.

you can use hardware monitor for example and take a screenshot during a prime run, it shows temps, cpu freq, fan rpm's and many other things at once
