DFI and DFI-Street.com have parted ways.

If you are at all inclined to complain about the situation, here are some email addresses that you should send letters to:

Frank Wong - DFI USA Support Manager
frankwong@dfiweb.com

Ed Huang - Head of North American DFI Operations:
edhuang@dfiweb.com

YC - CEO of DFI (Taiwan):
YC@dfi.com.tw

"Dear Sirs,

I was terribly disappointed to discover that DFI and DFI-Street.com have come to some sort of impass. If it were not for DFI-Street I would have never purchased the first DFI product, and I have purchased several of your motherboards in the last few years. I primarily purchased Gigabyte & ASUS boards in the past, but the combination of DFIs performance and versatility along with the support of the administrators of DFI-Street and the many users at the forum, made the decision to switch to DFI an easy one. Due to the loyalty and comeraderie of the tightly knit community of DFI-Street, I don't believe it could be dissolved and replicated at a new url by corporate.

I would highly suggust that whatever difficulty that has led to the impass that DFI and DFI-Street now find themselves at, be surveyed with a serious intention of resolution. Unless DFI intends to abandon the enthusiast market completely, and concentrate its efforts elsewhere, that would be in the best interests of DFI and its customers.

Sincerely,
(Halvis)"

I think we should make a basic email template to send to the 3 of them, and get as many people to send it as possible.

For example (Halvis's email edited to make it more generic):

Dear Sirs,

I was terribly disappointed to discover that DFI and DFI-Street.com have come to some sort of impass. If it were not for DFI-Street I would have never purchased the first DFI product - the combination of DFIs performance and versatility along with the support of the administrators of DFI-Street and the many users at the forum, made the decision to go DFI an easy one. Due to the loyalty and comeraderie of the tightly knit community of DFI-Street, I don't believe it could be dissolved and replicated at a new url by corporate.

Unless DFI intends to abandon the enthusiast market completely, and concentrate its efforts elsewhere, that would be in the best interests of DFI and its customers.

I hope that you take into consideration my comments and the concerns of your loyal customers

Sincerely,
(username here)

That could then be emailed to:

edhuang@dfiweb.com
frankwong@dfiweb.com

What do you guys think?

Prosser13, I am FINE with it. Perhaps it should be composed by a better writer than me, and spell & grammer checked! (I neglected to do that)

It is my hope that DFI receives as many emails as possible regarding this. That said, I think it would be *better* if those of us who regularly read and posted at "the Street", to EACH write a couple of original paragraphs, in their own words, rather than simply copy/paste a "form letter" type of response.

Notice I said "better". A form letter is certainly preferable to NO letter.

Email has little weight when it comes to protests, due to the nature of the internet and abuse (100,000 spam emails sent with one click of a button, for example). More weight comes from snail mail with a real name, address and a John Han****.

If you're going to protest, protest where it would count. Snail mail (and not a form one), and if DFI is public, buy stock and complain as a shareholder (which has more weight, as you're invested in it's future). True "fans" would invest in their favorite companies anyway.

I wouldn't recommend going out and buying stock. Unless of course they decided to change their ways and then buying stock would be a good thing. Aside from that I like the snail mail idea.
