Any Comcast Xfinity users around? - Page 2

Comcast sent me that as an "upgrade" I kept the old modem and router i had and put that thing back in the box to be sent back. You can't even turn off the wireless in it.

I have a similar problem and we currently have Xfinity. I am looking to replace the modem they gave use because our last one got blown out by a storm and now the replacement is crappy. However, with Xfinity the phone line comes in with cable, but I havent seen any cable modems with a phone port. Will I have to go through Comcast to get another one or can I buy one myself that will work?

Thanks

If you use their phone service I'm pretty sure your only optition is to use that modem they give out.

You can get a modem that is only for the phone and internet (no wireless), that is what I have.
