I fully agree. Even the GTX 560 Ti is not as good because while performance wise it may be comparable, it has a narrower memory bus and less VRAM, which will likely result in less performance in newer games.
Yes, that is actually an improvement. You get the same amount of VRAM and the same memory bus width, so it's fair, but you get more VRAM speed out of the box, more cores, more clockspeed and a very good cooler.
Just to anticipate any eventual out of stock message they may send you, the current GPU that is a fair replacement is the GTX 650 Ti Boost 2 GB.
