Again though, these power supplies are most efficient from 20-50% load. In that video, you had a gentleman with a 750 watt power supply. At Idle it was drawing 150 watts. That's exactly a 20% load on a 750 watt ps. When cranking hard on the gpu and cpu, he was in the 300-350 watt range. Real close to 50% load, just under a tad. He had the correct sized power supply in his case. If he ever wanted to add a second video card, he will be well within the range of that ps and still be relatively efficient.

If anything I would always err on the side of slightly too large, vs slightly too small. Always.

Regardless, for the OP's build I think somewhere in the 850w-1000w range is just fine.

No, all these modern supplies have their peak efficiency right around 50% load.
