X-Fi Forte 115 snr vs ALC1150 115 snr

Any difference other than headphone amp? Seem like they have same snr. Reason I'm asking is because I'm going Windows 8 soon, don't want to mess with the old drivers.

Seem like it has better dynamic range too?

The forte should be noticeably better, especially with headphones, but I agree that it might be a nightmare to get working with Windows 8 (if at all).

I'm using old Z-5300, would it make much difference if I use the onboard?
