[Build Log] Tekniks Phantom 410 Revival (Watercooled)

Ok so this is my first post and build log, so please be nice thumb.gif

I've been a lurker on these forums for a while now and am currently redoing my phantom, so while im waiting for parts i have some time to make this log. smile.gif

so first off a bit of back log on the pc

Here she is in all her former glory, this was my first system i built, and i loved it.
But then i discovered water cooling.
Unfortunately with a case like this the w/c options were a bit few and far between, so rather i opted for a new build in a bitfenix prodigy

While i absolutely loved this system, the phantom sat unloved in the corner for about nine months.

Eventually i decided to sell it. So anyway guy called with a good price, except he bought everything but the case.

After all this happened i started thinking how much i wanted to originally w/c the phantom.

So i decided to do the only logical thing, and cram as much water cooling goodness i possibly could into it biggrin.gif

THE PLAN

To fit a 360mm Alphacool ut60 rad in front and a 240mm Alphacool xt45 in the roof biggrin.gif

Mobo: gigabyte z87x ud-3h
Gfx: 2 evga superclocked gtx 770's in sli
Cpu: 4670k Delidded
Ram: gskill ares 1866mhz 16gb
Ssd: 2 samsung 840 evo, 1 for os+programs, 1 for Steam drive
Psu: silverstone 1000w gold evolution

W/Cooling
Cpu Block: EK supremacy
Gfx Blocks: EK clean csq fullcover nickel plexi
rads: alphacool ut60 360mm, xt45 240mm
pump/res: d5 with bitspower mod top + 250 res top
fittings/tubing: primochill rigid acrylic tube + ghost compression fittings + various bitspower fittings

band.gif

SO ONTO THE BUILD

Here she is Sitting rather empty

a few rivets later...

Ta-da!

to fit the top rad i had to shift the mounting position

next i cut out the bar between the fan mounts and the 5.25 bays

then i made the side window size a little more substantial thumb.gif

I also wanted to put a fan controller in it as well, but seeing as i no longer have any drive bays i went a bit custom

Mobo and gfx card test fitting

rads, pump and res in

Just fits

thought the front fans were a bit boring so i spiced em up a bit

Naked 770 biggrin.gif

Dat Block drool.gif

seeing as i'm going all out on this build i delidded

So preeeetttty

most of the tubing and cable sleeving is done just waiting on 2nd 770

Now im just waiting for my second gfx card, a few fittings and ssd's

I can see why you saved the case. It's art. I take it you are running the thing lidless? Just the bare silicon in direct contact with the water?! perhaps I'm just uniformed here.

Where the heck do you get all those stickers?

Yes I'm running it lidless, I got too excited putting it in so forgot to take pics. Just using the naked supremacy add on kit biggrin.gif
And as for the stickers, it's all just from a couple of sticker books

heh. modern day decoupage. You might actually think about clear coating it when you feel it is done. Will help protect the things and keep them from coming loose.

i put the stickers on not long after its first build, and put a clear coat on straight after.
Fun Fact: it originally was black with orange accents but i painted them blue thumb.gif
