hey guys im new to the forums and building a pc in general. I am working on building a new rig for high end gaming on a 1080p tv and need a lot of help on my build in knowing what I need and dont need and how I can make it better. here is a link to my build if you could let me know what i am doing wrong and how to make it better it would very much be appreciated.
hi and welcome to ocn. your build is overkill for 1080p gaming. it's also full of components that are honestly a waste of resources (money) for the desired result. for starters, the GTX Titan is no longer a viable gpu purchase for a gamer, let alone someone who games at 1080p. the $700 780ti is faster and even that is hardly viable given it's price. I recommend a gtx780/R9 290 at most, or for the price of one Titan, two 780's in SLI or. secondly, you don't need 32GB of ram. it will net zero benefit for you. the power supply is overkill as well, and more importantly it's not one of the better options in it's price or wattage range. I'd say some major changes to the build are in order. you can get much better gaming performance for half this cost.
alright so obviously I have no idea what I am doing so please let me know what would be a good pc build for me with the components. I would really appreciate it so I can order the parts this week.
1050 watts is massive overkill unless you have 3 Titans
Unless you are going to overvolt all you need is 500 watts
As said 32 GB of RAM is also overkill and you can get just as good video card cheaper
Also as a note you cant use that CPU on that motherboard unless you update the BIOS first just a note
For a HDD i would go with a 3 or 4 TB WD Green if its just for storage
