Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. My FX 8320 can take on any game easily, stock or overclocked, and most newer games coming out are designed to make use of at least a quad core CPU. An FX 6300 is a good CPU, especially when paired with a GTX 770.

Go for it. thumb.gif

Also, your PSU is fantastic for that setup. smile.gif

Awesome. Thanks for the helpful reply. thumbsupsmiley.png

Hahaha I would have done that if I wasn't gaming at 1366x768 resolution. A 2 GB GTX 770 is already enough of an overkill for my monitor. tongue.gif

OCN Staff do not have rep buttons, but thanks for the sentiments. I hope that new setup works out for you.

Just make sure you get a decent AM3+ motherboard, at least 8GB DDR3 1600mhz ram, and a good cooler for that CPU. You should be golden. Let me know if you need any help picking out additional parts. thumb.gif

And will it help reduce any minor bottleneck if there is any?

At least get a 970 motherboard those aren't too expensive. Turn off Turbo core and overclock from there. I imagine you could get 4Ghz undervolted while on the stock cooler yes.

Will FX 6300 bottleneck GTX 770? If so by how much?

--Probably not to much if overclocked to a mid range overclock.

Will my PSU be enough to support a rig with FX 6300 and GTX 770?

--Way more then enough, could almost or would power SLI.

Will I see any performance improvement over the GTX 560 - Core 2 Duo E7500 combo using a GTX 770 - Core 2 Duo E7500 combo?

--You would see some, but using a like 10 year old dual core with a modern gpu would be dumb.

no it wont bottleneck a GTX 770, just clock it to 4ghz or higher.

Will my PSU be enough to support a rig with FX 6300 and GTX 770?
yes your psu is enough

Will I see any performance improvement over the GTX 560 - Core 2 Duo E7500 combo using a GTX 770 - Core 2 Duo E7500 combo?
no you wont get any performance improvement. That core2duo was already bottlenecking the GTX560, so you can expect an even bigger bottleneck with a GTX770
