I've got plenty of MOLEXs, sata to molex adpters etc, etc. If I got a card I was actually going to mount it off the motherboard on an extra slot on the fractal midi that allows the card to set sideways right next to the glass side panel and use a powered riser. You can see the slot in this pic.

I don't really understand what you just said here, but the RX-V667 does DTS and DTS-HD. An optical connection doesn't have the bandwidth for surround PCM or DTS-HD. HDMI gets you the best audio to the receiver, and let's you spend less on a DAC because you don't need optical out to the receiver.

Just having breaks in the text make it easier on the eyes, so thanks for the breaks. laughingsmiley.gif

That said, I'd agree with getting a cheap modi or similar cheap Schiit product. rolleyessmileyanim.gif

It's cheap, can drive your headphones and small if desk space is an issue.

I think you're overestimating the usefulness/awesomeness of DTS. I think the headphones themselves will give you more immersion than DTS provides you. That said I think you need HDMI to use DTS.

If I were you I'd hook the receiver up to the PC via HDMI (if it had HDMI or optical). Then use the receiver as a DAC/Amp if the receiver is good. If not, HDMI via your graphics card may offer DTS I know it does on ATI cards, not sure if same is true for NVIDIA. That's another means.

If you were gifted the T1's, then you can spend your 800 on an amp for those.

Went ahead and got an Asus One Muse. Good deal, picked it up for little over 590.
