Ok here goes.. I got around 350 to build with. Its for my dad. He uses it as an office computer and watches video as well. It will hook up to an already existing HDTV as a secondary monitor.. I need everything else except a mouse. 19in monitor case n all the rest. it would be great if the monitor did 1080p same as the HDTV so I can just mirror them to make it easier for him instead of dragging and dropping from screen to screen.

This may help give you an idea about how to prioritize. http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=600246

Also, I would seriously consider just using an integrated graphics solution with a more recent processor using a motherboard that can support it vs a discrete gpu if he doesn't game.

so your saying a newest chipset motherboard with integrated video that will hookup to dvi and hdmi with a more powerful processor than spending extra on a videocard? I just don't want his streaming Justin.tv and Netflix getting choppy while playing it on mirrored dual screens? monitor can have usb and speakers too buildt in no worries on that.
