Someone who tested both or just someone knowing Facts about both.

How are those two Mice compared with Pros and Cons to each other and which Mouse is better in different Aspects and overall?

1-Switchfeeling and Mousewheelfeeling
2-raw Sensorperformance in their DPI Range and different Steps and Pollingrate
3-Quality and Haptic
4-Shape
5-Grip combined with the Surface they offer
6-Build-Style

It's impossible for me to compare them cause I am DA 2013 only User, but what I know about the DA 2013 is pretty damn strong, cause it's a great Mouse in Terms of Functionallity, Technic and Quality and to me the best Deathadder to date cause earlier Versionflaws seem to be destroyed with this new 2013 Build.

1. I prefer the DA's lighter switches with the better mousewheel.
2. Sensor performance was the same for me.
3. DA felt better on the skin. Rival is incredibly smooth, making it hard for me to pick up. Rubber grips actually hurt after extended use since it has a raised texture.
4. Rival has a better shape I think. The surface ruins it for me though.
5. Grip is kinda linked with the shape. For me the shape was ok for my grip.
6. Even? My rival rattles though so...

1. The DA 2013 has significantly lighter mouse buttons (M1 & M2). The Rival is almost the polar opposite. Whether its just the shell design or the actual switches, the mouse buttons on the Rival are a lot stiffer. I personally prefer the Rival's mouse buttons over the DA 2013, I found myself constantly misclicking with the 2013 just due to how light the mouse buttons were.

2. What end0rphine said. LOD is lower overall on the Rival in my experience. Max tracking speeds on both mice should be very high, with zero perceivable acceleration.

3. I think the side grips on the Rival are really nice, a bit better than the 2013 (since it covers the side of the mouse in its entirety). In terms of coating the top part of the Rival's shell is smoother as end0rphine pointed out. I think both in terms of coating are fine, however the top part of the 2013 shell has a rougher texture if I recall.

4./5. Rival feels a tiny bit smaller than the DA (despite being longer) but both are very similar in shape and size. I feel the DA "fills" your hand a bit more if you're palm gripping.

6. Same? Both my Rival and DA 3.5 have slight "rattles" when you shake the mouse.

1 - I prefer the lighter switches in DA. Scroll wheel is a bit to far back on Rival imo.
2 - Can't say I feel such terrible "smoothing" some people do. Rival can change in 50 DPI steps and DA 100 DPI. Used both at 1000Hz with no problem.
3 - DA 2013 is very good quality compared to previous versions. From my first few days with the Rival it feels good as well. Got nothing to complain about on any of those.
4 - Rival is the winner here for me. I hate the right side of DA, and the indentation on mousebuttons is crap.
5 - Rival clear winner here as well. DA 2013 is the first DA I've had problem lifting, it just slips out of my hand. The rubber grips doesn't help either, I hold just over them. Rival top coating sucks for me also. Though these rubber grips actually helps and it's very easy to lift, doesn't slip at all. Would still prefer both these mice fully glossy.
6 - Rival looks better... If it was this you mean? tongue.gif

Yeah the DA 2013 at 44.99 is a steal. Completely gone within a few hours at my local Best Buy along with the 41.99 Kraken Pro. My only complaint is that the lift-off is too low on certain pads and doesn't seem adjustable with Synapse (1 to 10 makes almost no difference), but other than that a very solid choice. I had the original DA, the Lunar MAC edition DA, the Transformers DA, the 3.5G regular and black DA and the 2013 edition along with the original are the best performers with the regular 3.5G being the worst - slippery grip and snake logo heating up.
