Connect to both bands?

Thread Starter
Hey guys. I have an Asus 802.11ac RT-AC 68R Router. I'm connected to it with an Asus PCE-AC68 Dual-band adapter. APPARENTLY I'm supposed to be able to connect to 2.4 and 5.0 GHz signals from this router simultaneously to increase performance, but I can't figure out how and the manual doesn't specify.

1. Is this even a real thing?

2. How would I do it?

Thanks guys!

I don't think you can connect them, does it just turn off one of the bands? I don't have the router so I'm not sure
