At whatever it costs.
Besides, what do custom coolers releasing have anything to do with having the best performance?
We already know the OC'd performance with the best possible cooling solutions available and there are obviously custom Nvidia cards as well. So whether you like stock or OC'd performance numbers, if you want the highest perf available from a GPU you're not going to go AMD.
I want the best performance available which is why I'm waiting for non ref. 780Tis to come out. In the mean time my Titan is faster than 290Xs or ref. 780Tis since they (ref 780Ti) don't have proper voltage control yet (and apparently have worse memory timings). So for someone like me and many others on this site who want the best performance, what do custom 290Xs do for us? I was testing my Titan yesterday at 1478MHz, seemed to purr nicely and I hope to post valley and FSE scores of that today while waiting anxiously to see how high the custom 780Tis set the bar. Others who are also looking at the best possible perf are doing the same at the moment.
