Why are X58 boards holding their value?

Not willing to retire my X58 gear and needing two more boards I keep a pretty close eye on prices asked and prices received. It sure seems that the high end of the X58 crop is really hanging in there price wise. I ask if this is simply a sign of the economic times or are people really satisfied for once not having the "latest and greatest"?

x58 is still rockin it even though its a bit dated, if youre looking on ebay, mostly because people cant accept the fact that things lose value over time tongue.gif i didnt like selling my titans at $700 but i did, because thats life.

Hello sze, I look most everywhere and the boards are either not listed (our marketplace has more "wanted" than "for sale") and the ebay crowd seems to be getting close to what they want. Other dated tech (AM3 gear) is going for a song. I picked up a M4A79T-Deluxe for 30.00. This is cheap enough so as the OS is the most expensive part in a low end desktop build.
