Helping a friend build a small gaming PC.

Thread Starter
So my friend wanted to get the Alienware X51 ... I explained to him that they are overpriced and all. He asked me to help him build him a PC, but what he has in mind, is for it to be small, like the Alienware X51... I have no knowledge in Micro/Mini ATX motherboards and cases so was hoping for your help.

I figured he could use these parts, but I have no idea about the rest.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£172.99 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory (£61.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£42.50 @ Aria PC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1GB Video Card (£108.98 @ Dabs)
Power Supply: SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (£75.06 @ Scan.co.uk)
Total: £461.52
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
(Generated by PCPartPicker 2013-11-28 17:50 GMT+0000)

Budget is up to 700GBP, same as the Alienware, however, the cheaper he can get it, the better, so lets start with 550 - 600 and go up if we have to.

EDIT: Just though about it and realised smaller PCs probably can't use ATX Power Supplies? What Power Supplies can they use?

I got that PSU (Should update my Rig), Just somehow I am biased towards the SeaSonic biggrin.gif Also thing is, the CoolerMaster is only £2.5 cheaper, but that is on Scan.co.uk, and they add a ~£10 delivery so it turns out to be £88.44 (That is how much I paid 2 days ago).

The ST1000DM003 is actually a better performing drive than the WD10EZEX for this sort of application. Though both are wonderful and the differences are mostly negligible.
