Have some Hard drive questions!

Hey guys, I got some questions regarding hard drives. So I'm making myself a mITX build, and I only have room to put 1 HDD in my case. So I have to change my setup that I currently have.

I have two questions.

1. How is the WD Green or Red compared to the Samsung F3 in gaming load times/performance?

2. Is there anything like a NAS box without the NAS part? If I want to store multiple hard drives externally(and can't use a NAS), how would I do that? I just see docks, but I don't feel safe with docks. I want my hdds on a rack or enclosed.

I like how quiet the WD Green and Red is, but just hesitant about the 5400rpm speed.

And I was also thinking of just storing the drives I have now externally, but I don't know what to put them in. I just keep seeing docks like this http://www.monoprice.com/Product/?c_id=103&cp_id=10315&cs_id=1031502&p_id=8078&seq=1&format=1#largeimage
I don't feel safe leaving a hdd in that.

I would personally stick with the SSD and purchase a 2.5" mechanical, they cost slightly more but you can put two in the space of one 3.5".

If not mistaken all mechanical hard drives run very similar, load times are only slightly different. I have a variety of WD greens, blues, Samsungs and Hitachis with no noticeable difference.

But other then docks there is also enclosures like THIS but then they would be USB connected, which my create more problems.

For enclosures, I s talking about one that can have multiple hard drives in it like a NAS box.

Are there any good performance 1 TB 2.5" drives? (SSD height)

I was thinking, if I used a 2.5" drive instead of a 3.5", I could fit 2 in my case as ginger_nuts was saying.

I like these units, and the two I have are working flawlessly for my mirror drives.
