To be brutally honest, Cooler Master PSU's are something I've not been keeping up to date with as I am tend to avoid Cooler Master stuff, their cases, their Coolers, and PSU's. I had the CM Silent Pro 850W before my AX750 and it was far from silent, coil whined on load, so I had to get rid of it, as well as the Cooler Master V8 cooler, it was alright, but not worth £45, so I replaced it.

V8 = 212+ in performance for that you had such bad performance....

Cooler Master does not make the PSU´s they sell

And yes they do have a bad reputation due to all the crappy units they had in the past

But Cooler Master know this so they have started over from scratch

They hired OCN´s old PSU editor and since then pretty much everything they have sold is rock solid

Same thing goes for EVGA the G2 and P2 models are pretty much the best bang for buck 1000 and 1300 watts PSU´s you can find

Now Corsair units are not bad but they are getting worse then they have been

Just look at the trainwreck thats the Corsair RM series

Today if you look around you can find just as good or better then Corsair they are simply getting behind

Does not mean what they sell is bad just bad value

Anyway sory for going off topic again

Well, all PSU talk aside I've settled with another Corsair unit after some reviews. Would've definitely shaved off $25 by going with another cheaper unit, but I've heard good things about the HX series and the charts looked good enough.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i High Performance Liquid
Motherboard: Asus Z87-PRO ATX LGA1150
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 4GB
Case: Corsair 500R White ATX Mid Tower
Case Fans: Corsair Air Series AF120 Performance Edition (2-Pack) 63.5 CFM 120mm
Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition
Power Supply: Corsair HX750 ATX
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer
WNA: Intel 62205ANHMWDTX1 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Price comes out to just under $1630 plus shipping.

You dont need 750 watts for that system unless you are going to add another GTX 770

Besides why buy a Corsair if you can get something just as good for less

If you have a rebate card you can get a Cooler Master V700 for 80$

Better then the HX750 and cheaper as well
