CPU VRN Loadline Calibration setting missing in UD4H Bios?

Hi all,

I've got a few question regarding overclocking with the UD4H.

1. Do you adjust Turbo Power Limit (Watts) and Core Current Limit (Amps) while overclocking without Turbo Boost?

2. I don't see a CPU VRN Loadline Calibration in my Bios - is that a problem?

3. My current overclock with my 4670k and a Phanteks PH-TC with 3 fans is:
4.4 GHz CPU Core
4.0 GHz Uncore
1.96 VRIN Override
1.34 CPU Vcore
1.2 CPU Ring
Max Temps: 84C in Prime 95 (usually stays around 65C)
What is your recommended addition to voltage? I know that 1.45 is technically the max, but I'm wondering what a healthy max would be.

Thank you very much - Happy Thanksgiving,

1. No I do not
2. It is under Performance>Voltages>3D Power Control and it should be the first option.
3. For a "healthy" 24/7 voltage I would recommend a max of less than 1.40v. Your 1.34v should be fine.

3d Power Control isn't there with the 3 other voltage sections?

Also - would you recommend going above 1.2 for Vring? http://cdn.overclock.net/f/fa/faa09351_ap3b.jpeg

According to this graph I would only need to go above 1.2 if I were using cold cooling?

Sorry, it's not 3D power settings, it's "Advanced Power Settings". I didn't remember what it was off the top of my head so I looked at a picture in the guide lol.

And as far as VRING, do you need more than 1.2v for a 4.0GHz uncore clock? Uncore overclocking does not offer any substantial performance increases.

STABLE - 4.6 GHz CPU Clock/4.1 Uncore Clock/1.375 VCore/1.2 VRing/2.0 VRin Override
UNSTABLE - 4.7 GHz CPU Clock/4.2 Uncore Clock/1.4 VCore/1.2 VRing/2.0 VRin Override

Is there a way to get to 4.7 that is safe or worth it?

Also - I can't find Advance Power Settings either. Is there something wrong with my bios? frown.gif

Idk how much more voltage your chip would need for 4.7, but if your worried about safe why not just get the Intel Performance Tuning Protection Plan for $25? Intel will replace your CPU if you kill it from overclocking.

Here's where to find LLC in the BIOS.

I see the CPU Core Voltage along with the other two, but Advanced Power Settings is missing.

What BIOS revision are you using? I'm on F7.

How do I check and change that? Would I need a usb to flash a new one?
