Hmm, if its a true mining machine with puny cpu and low voltage clocks, you can definitely do it.

Yea sempre 145 amd..

I'm just worried because some people said they were really close to 1200w then had to severally undervolt..

This is my first rig.. and I've never undervolt gpus before..

Yet another one jumping on the coin bandwagon. it'll work but not that well. Personally, I would go with a SLIGHTLY more powerful CPU. My experience with that cpu is that it will lock up the entire computer if you have everything running. Luckily, I was able to core unlock it so that it's a dual core cpu.

You can do it. Undervolt at 0.9 volts 6 7970s use around 1000 watt

I've been thinking about it for 3 months.. everyone recommends that cpu.. what cpu do you recommend??

I was running 4 7970s with a 965 be underclocked to 2.5. There is no reason to get a better cpu because mining doesnt need more than pcie1x
