Not sure on if its reference or not

But one thing is for sure i dont recomend buying it due to my personal experience

I had mine for about 10 weeks before i sold it

Noise was simply too much and i had to get rid of it

Gave me headaches too

It is *not* a reference PCB, it is cheaper and lower quality than the true reference PCB from AMD, but the same full-cover 7970 waterblocks will still fit this card (look here: http://www.coolingconfigurator.com/waterblock/3831109856154) if you want to watercool it.

Personally, even at that price, I still wouldn't buy this card. XFX was HORRIBLE with the 7900 series. The worst coolers ever, almost no OC potential, etc. In fact even the 6900 series XFX card I had was just as bad. I avoid them like the plague unless it's an actual reference card built by AMD themselves.

The XFX 6950 DD was nowhere near as loud

As for how good the cards where i dont know

Is the RX series cards by XFX better now or do XFX still suck?

My 6950 wasn't a DD but was still a custom model that ran in the 80s-90s all the time and like usual was a terrible overclocker.

Benchmarks show the new XFX cooler to be MUCH better than the last generation, at least on the 280X. And it looks way better too. So maybe they're trying to turn it around.
