Are Amazon DL videos worth it?

Are Amazon DL videos worth it? Ive gotten a few Amazon DL videos, seemed worth it vs ripping per vid, but is it worth the limited Windows format, plus I hate Flash player and dislike streaming videos from Amazon/and hitting my ISP bandwidth cap.

My upcoming first HTPC/FileServer/RenderBox, needs to run Linux or Windows as the OS, Im also, so out of date on video formats.

I could just run Windows Home Prem and be done, But Im liking Windows less and less these days, and is Amazon downloaded "paid" videos worth it vs buying and ripping each dvd/br, Id also have the dvd/br's as backup.

I would say the Amazon videos are worth it, I buy almost all my media from them.

The really nice thing is you get to stream the show/movie whenever you want, as well as download at full quality. The downside is the downloads have to use their "unbox" player.

It will run on windows 7, but probably won't go through the WMC. I think the DRM requires their player, and they have to have strong DRM for the major publishers to allow their content to be sold.

(edit) Found this, maybe you can use WMC: http://www.techhive.com/article/224940/video.html

Don't quite know what you are asking here. I use a Logitech K400 with WMC and it works just fine. You do have to learn the keyboard shortcuts as it's easier than using the track pad.

By the way, I made tacos tonight!

Ugh, screw touchpads. Definitely learn shortcuts. And save yourself the headache and get a Logitech M305 laptop mouse and use it on your couch cushion.
