So my antec psu was faulty and i contacted antec. They wanted me to pay shipping costs but i discovered that the retailer covers the whole 5yr warranty in the uk. I sent it back to the retailer and i had a reply that said that because the item is over 6months old i only get a proportionate refund under the sales goods act 1979.
The warranty says that i should get a repair or replacement at no additional cost.
They say it cant be repaired and the item is no longer available and thats why i get the refund but shouldn't i get an alternative product or full refund?

What are my rights? What they are offering is not part of the warranty i have
