Wanted:
WTB- 1156 P55/H55 motherboard

Will Ship To: Anywhere

Looking for a P55 or H55 motherboard (has to be able to overclock atleast somewhat, limited options are OK as long as I can change base clock and vcore that's fine). Would really prefer a Micro ATX board but will consider all.

Budget totally depends on what you have, but keep in mind this is a dead as a door nail socket so I'm not looking to spend major bucks here.

I was just in the market for a p55 board. I got one on craigslist for ~$60 (p55-ud3r, I'd say I did well). But when I was looking I saw some awesome options on ebay, not to steal anyone's sale from OCN, however rolleyes.gif

There is a never ending supply of these, apparently some gnomes in Ohio are hard at work making them. (This was the only NEW board I found anywhere, and it looks like a pretty nice bang for buck board -- I'd think it's similar to Asrock Extreme4, because it's Foxconn)

This is one is from Ohio (probably the same e-seller) but there was a huge supply of them coming from China when I was in the market. I bet this is the best mATX option. It has a nice onboard heatsink with a small fan, something my dead P55m-Ud2(RIP) did not have.

Good luck! I was in your position a while ago and went with a new Ivy Bridge setup, kind of regret it in retrospect, spent more than I could've gotten away with. But hell an extra i5 in the house doesn't hurt wink.gif

Not looking to spend over $100 on a board for a dead socket....hell I paid $40 for the I7 860 that I got for it.

The dell board will have no overclocking options.

I thought Alienware branded boards allowed voltage control?

And I can totally understand that. I was quite happy paying $60 instead of $100 (I already had my chip) Good job getting a cheap i7, the seller of my board wanted to throw in his i7 860 for like $80 more, F that!
