Just bought a month old sony vaio for gf's xmas present, did i get ripped off??

I think i got a decent deal but not to sure as i don't mess around with laptops too much. The sony vaio i bought her is the sony vaio sve14a26cgh. Not a lot of info online about it, only received it today and the lady might have only had it a month but boy did she do a number on it. Not physically but it was running like trash, she didn't even factory reset it. She had a ton of things installed to try and make windows 8 run like windows 7 slowing everything down lol.

Anyway i paid $550 AU for it, she sent the receipt and she paid $900 a month ago, and the box says $1395 so i'm assuming she paid cash and got a discount. After resetting to factory settings and doing all the updates, disabling some start up programs and installing a few things it seems to be running sweet.

Main specs are i5 3210m, 7670m gpu (switchable graphics), 4 gig ram, 14 inch touch display (1600x900) and windows 8.

What do you guys reckon, paid to much or got a decent deal? I don't even know how highly the sony vaios are regarded really, but i assume they have some appeal for girls and the apple sort of crowd.

Yeah... I'm confused... that's the opposite of being ripped off... however that laptop was worth no more than what you paid in all honesty. It wasn't worth even half the retail price...
