unfortunately, i didn't pick up anything today, i was too damn excited and didn't realize how long the line was... at least a 2hr wait before i got outta there... never seen my local microcenter with that many people... it's always been somewhat empty no matter if it's a holiday or not.
i'll head back tomorrow but, in the mean time, this gives me some more time to find a decent PSU @ a decent price..
i had a pretty in-depth conversation with one of the employees there and he told me he's 100% positive a CX600M will power a SLI GTX 670 setup even with overclocks. while i don't believe him, it does seem possible although the PSU would probably be maxed out which i would assume is a problem waiting to happen.
all in all, while i understand the V700/HX750 are quality products, my ridiculous student debt looks damn scary and will most likely force me to go for a OCZ ZT 750w (review: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=262
) or the MkII Silencer 750w.
the OCZ ZT 750w received such a good review which is why i'm even considering it but, it's stil 80+ Bronze while the Silencer is 80+ Silver... can anyone explain the differences here or is it better to just forget everything and grab the Silencer due to OCZ going bankrupt?
heres my local microcenter's list of PSUs that are in stock: http://www.microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?N=4294966654&NTK=all&page=1&cat=Power-Supplies-:-Computer-Parts-:-MicroCenter
- would love to have one of you guys skim through it and see if you can catch a worthy PSU sub $100 or exactly $109.99 out the door with some sort of the rebateEdited by mr1hm - 11/29/13 at 2:54pm
