Looking for a specific fan

Thread Starter
Hey guys could use some assistance, I'm looking for some case fans for my rig and I would like to have then all the same colour, I'd have a mix of 120/140mm, preferably 4-pin PWM but 3-pin is fine too.

I would like the fans to look like the attached picture (I pulled it from a dead Alpine PSU and fitted it to see how it looked) but I've never seen a case fan with reflective gold fins and there's no sticker on the back, so no details on it.
Gold 120mm Fan from Alpine PSU

Have any of you guys seen any like it on your journeys on the internet?
Thanks in advance.

I've never seen a fan like this and after a search it looks like they're only made to go inside the alpine PSU.
I do have an idea which might work instead, try and get a hold of a small sheet of gold vinyl wrap and cut it to the dimensions of the fan blades. Of course this would require some precise measurements and it may peel over time.

Any chance you could take a look at the sticker on the back of the fan to see the manufacturer and model, we might be able to find some somewhere in the depths of the internet with the model number and manufacturer.

You can also paint the blades. You can just search Google on how to disassemble a PC fan, it's pretty straight-forward. Just remember to put tape over the axle and magnets. thumb.gif

Yeah... or do that. That's probably the better idea and the more commonly used one wink.gif

Well, I really can't recall seeing anything like that, if you hunt around, I believe there is an aerocool fan with gold blades. Turbine 1000 model variant I think. If you don't mind a silver look, well then these aluminum fans are very nice too: http://www.xoxide.com/12alcasfan.html

I'll keep an eye out for anything like that PSU fan though.

Thanks for the suggestions, and fast responses, guys.

I've been thinking about painting some of my components like my GPU shroud for a while, is there a specific kind of paint that's recommended and is it possible to get paint in a reflective gold?
I had a look on eBay, while there were a lot of results for spray paints I wouldn't know which to get lol.
