I don't think this one may fit a R9 290 - the holes are not in line.

However, perhaps this one could ???

Here in the netherlands I found a few shops that sell it.(http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/286433/gelid-solutions-6900-vrm-enhancement-kit-for-icy-vision-2.html) It costs 5,5 euro so why not? I shall order it with a NF A14 (to replace the Kraken X40 loud fan) as fast as possible. My R9 290 overclocks fairly well (1240Mhz core with +140mV and 1550Mhz RAM). I would want to go higher but the VRM temps are simply to hot (110C under BF4, ultra settings, 1440p and 120% res. scale). I believe they are rated to 120C so it is not really a problem for now. I run a Kraken G10 and X40 btw. I thought of modding the stock heatsink but in that way my warranty will be void and I can´t sell it anymore.

I installed a Kraken G10 too, with a Corsair H75 + one Be Quiet 92mm fan. I checked those NL shops too, but couln't find one that ship to France! Too bad ... this GELID part is really hard to find!

Finally I ordered one from Amazon US, but the shipping cost is twice the price of the part frown.gif No much choice anyway.

Can someone help me out regarding what material to use when putting heatsinks on the memory vs vrms?

I use arctic alumina compound for the memory heatsinks (the black ones around the core) or thermal tape?

And how about the VRMs? Thermal insulating tape only or ..?

Thanks!
for the memory use the akasha thermal tape.for the vrms i used this tongue.gif

but i wasnt happy with the cheap mounting system so i used this.

i used prolimatech PK 3 for the vrms.

Awesome, thank you for that. What vrm heatsink are you using for the long strip? I bought some enzotech ones the the small copper squares and am planning on just putting them in a row over the VRMs
