Can't wait to compare this monitor to my 1440p ips monitor. If really looks that much better or does'nt. PPI is incredible but the price sucks. I need to be nothing short of blown away wink.gif

OH trust me you will... the 1440p screen you thought to be so detailed is but a mere little rectangle squat in the middle of the 4K screen. That's the kind of jump we're talking about.

And to think the console kids are fighting over 1080p...... Sigh. no sir, 4k IS the real next gen, right here.

And the funny thing is, you see what you thought 1440p to be such a big resolution, it's a mere rectangle in the middle of the whole screen.
That sounds so sexy. I'm waiting on G-sync's launch (and probably Maxwell) before jumping to 4K myself.

Heh. I have made the argument that on smaller screens anti-aliasing is not needed at resolutions that high but I have had people argue with me. Of course I was using what is currently referred to as 'next-gen' over 8 years ago so I guess I was 'future-gen' back then, LOL.

Looks like that Asus ROG monitor is a TN but people are going to get it for g-sync and 120hz. I'll take resolution over refresh rate any day. On my "slow" IPS monitor I still win at FPS's or at least top 5 in vibrant, full color so refresh rate is way over-rated if you ask me. Sounds like your pretty satisfied with the monitor and your titans even though they can't always push ultra. Can't wait to try mine

Look at the calc app, same size on both 4k and 1440p, that's the scaling to expect.

And just as an fyi, even though it may not be an ultrasharp, dell uses IPS for its professional series as well. If pricing is true for that 28 that'll be amazing.
