Is that the ghetto reball trick? I was just talking to my father about that earlier when I went to his house for dinner. His friends that do reballing use toaster ovens he said. lol.

The funny think is that it really works, i confirmed recently with a 6870 that displayed the same problems that OP is having.
But yeh it's kinda ghetto! tongue.gif

I to have read about that fixing gpu's a number of times, and yes if that is the issue with his gpu it will work.
I read it softens up the solder connections and then when the solder cools down and makes the connection
better. with old age the solder connections loosen up from heating up and cooling down so many times over their
years of use.

Haha I thought you were being sarcastic. Hmmm, I put in a different gpu just today and we are back to normal, however, I also found out I have a dirty Hard disk as well, ugh. Will any HD fit in my rig, i'm assuming so.

Yes any hard disk will do just a pick a sata III hard disk (no point in buying sata II it's more expensive than sata III anyway) just make sure it is above 7200rpm and that has a good cache! Storange is pretty cheap right now.
