Help! LFH performance upgrades/additions to my rig!

Hello, I'm a noob at computers, made my first rig about a year ago but I'm looking at things I could possibly upgrade, was looking at doing an sli with my gpu but my mobo has 1x 16 pin pci slot and two 8pin pci slots. Didn't think it was smart to use an 8 and 16 pin sli together. So sli is out of the picture imo,but I could be misinformed about the 16 and 8 pin sli, and that's why I'm here! Here's my rig;

-EVGA x58 sli (still find the sli misleading because of the 16 and 8 pin connections :[ )
-i7 1366 990x 3.46ghz
-Corsair Vengeance 24 GB ( 6 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) 240-Pin DDR3 Memory Kit for Intel Core i7 SDRAM
-CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9 EVGA Classified SR-2 1200 Watt Continuous Power ATX No Power Supply 100-PS-1200-GR
-was using [
EVGA GeForce GTX 660Ti+ 3072MB GDDR5 DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI, DP, SLI Graphics Card (03G-P4-3661-KR) Graphics Cards 03G-P4-3661-KR ]
-just bought [
EVGA EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN SuperClocked 6GB GDDR5 384bit, Dual-Link DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI,DP, SLI Ready Graphics Card Graphics Cards 06G-P4-2791-KR ]
-a 240g SSD bootdrive

less jumbled version:

i7 990x cpu
EVGAx58sli
24g ram
1200w psu
660ti but just purchased a GTX Titan, bein mailed.
I have a SSD

I got the titan rather than the 780ti since even thou the 780ti is more powerful, the titan is still more stable, when I figure out how to overclock it I believe stability will be more desirable? But thats just what I think. Besides Titan just sounds cool.

My cpu I don't need to overclock yet but i have stabiliy clocked it at 4.8ghz using the stock cpu fan, temp stayed about 75c under a cpu test. Im not the most educated person in regards to the specifics of overclocking could have gotten 4.8 at a lower voltage, but after a couple hours of just testing I was happy with the results and stopped testing it.

As far as upgrading my computer I believe I'm limited by my cpu, even thou its really good, the best mobo I found was the x58, but then again dealing with sli Is kinda meh with the pin count. Im letting my gf use my 660 for her first rig, but once she upgrades I'm planning on using that card as a dedicated physx drive, which I believe significantly improves my computers performance as far as frame rate for games?

But what now? What do I upgrade next?

TL;DR
Got a good rig imo, don't think I can sli with my mobo, but my cpu is too good imo to change right now. So once I upgrade my cooling system (looking into watercooling) What can I upgrade? I feel like my computer isn't good enough quiet yet. Is there a way to make a super system with multi cpus or something?

Cheers!

Get a water cooler and overclock your CPU.

I have this one http://store.antec.com/Product/cooling-cpu_cooler/kuhler-h2o-620/0-761345-77085-9.aspx

cools my AMD phenom 2 1100t at 4.00Ghz great never passes 50c, the temps on Intel chips will be different though.

Shilka, whats wrong with my psu? I have not seen any limitations on it?

Ive actually been looking at custom cooling, from what i understand it water cooling your whole system more or less requires custom cooling?

First off its old that fan is super loud and there is not a single review of it out there so i have no idea whats its really like

All i can tell you its made by Enhance Electronics not by EVGA

Not to talk about its way overkill so your efficiency is not even silver

Not saying its crap just that its not really suited to your system and a total unknown

I mean custom Air Cooling(heatsink +Fans )

this is a R9 280X with reference cooling

these are custom version

custom cooling could add VRM Heatsink more VRMs or power phases and less loud fans biggrin.gif
