Do the X79 based CPUs use TIM instead of Solder?

I know that it's essentially a requirement to delid a Haswell to improve overclocking and the heat issues, but do you have to do the same with the i7 4930K or Socket 2011 based Xeons?

The 4930k is soldered from what I've read. I would assume the Xeons to be the same, but haven't seen confirmation. This is a link to an attempted delidding of a 4960x. It was soldered.
